Victoria Bravo was four years old when a man broke into her home and killed her entire family. The sole survivor, she became a lonely and shy young woman, plagued by frequent nightmares and serious difficulties relating to others. Her refuge is observing other people's lives through the windows of her apartment in Lapa, Rio de Janeiro. But the past is lurking, and she no longer knows who to believe. Forced to confront her own tragedy, Victoria embarks on a journey of discovery that will lead her to dark places, but will also reveal the possibilities of love. A psychiatrist, a virtual friend, and a potential boyfriend—which one is using everything they know about Vic to terrorize her? And what does he ultimately want from her?
