Dark and claustrophobic, Perfect Days is a story of obsessive and paranoid love.

The protagonist of the book is Téo, a young and lonely medical student who divides his time between caring for his paraplegic mother and dissecting cadavers in anatomy class. At a barbecue he reluctantly attends with his mother, Téo meets Clarice, a free-spirited young woman who dreams of becoming a screenwriter. Suddenly, Téo becomes obsessed with Clarice and begins to approach her insistently. Faced with her repeated rejections, he opts for an extreme action: he strikes her on the head and then kidnaps her.
